Tour Description

Priene, Miletus, Didyma, Temple of Apollon

You will be picked up from your hotel reception by your guide and start the tour. First stop will be Priene Ancient City. Priene was a port city but it never became so populated or huge city but this is how city preserve its indigenous style even in Romen time. After a 45 min. drive, you will reach to the site.

And you will visit small but beautiful theatre, then walk through the streets feeling like you are in 300 B.C. This Street will take you to the spectacular Athena Temple which has a fantastic view. From here you can see how Meandros River split up lowland and ended the trade life in Priene.

After Priene with a drive of 20 min. you will reach to Miletus. When Greek colonization started 800 B.C. This city has been the first city settled by Greek population. After Athens in Europe Miletus was a very important port city of Anatolia. You can visit a very typical Greek theater and take a walk through the buildings of the city. After visit of Miletus, you will drive 40 min. to Didyma. The tour breaks for lunch, near the temple ruins at Didyma. After having your lunch with the view of this great temple you will have chance to enter this charming place. Apollon is twin brother of Artemis, so ancient people wanted to build a twin temple of Artemis Temple in Ephesus which is one of the sever wonders of ancient world, but unfortunately, they could never able to complete the temple. If they could, we might be talking about the 8th wonders of the ancient world! This impressive building will give you an idea about how people can be powerful when it is about beliefs. Apollon is the god that gives us information about future, so ancient people built huge temples so Apollon and served for the sake of Apollon here, so they believed to receive messages from future. Oracles sacrificed animals here in the temple and read future from the blood. After the temple you will have some free time in the center of Didim city.

When the trip is canceled by the client 60 or more days prior to the start of the trip, he/she shall be able to request and receive a full refund. When cancellation happens between 59 and 30 days prior to the start of the trip, the client will be able to obtain a refund of 50% of the trip price. When cancellation is requested less than 29 days prior to the start of the trip, he/she will not be able to obtain any refund whatsoever.
