Cómo se realiza un trasplante de barba?
- Consultation and Planning:
- A consultation with a specialist is conducted to assess the patient’s facial features and determine the desired beard shape.
- The doctor discusses expectations, examines the donor area, and plans the transplantation based on the individual’s facial structure.
- Donor Area Selection:
- Hair follicles are usually extracted from the back of the scalp, as this area often has robust and permanent hair.
- Local Anesthesia:
- The procedure is performed under local anesthesia to ensure the patient’s comfort.
- Graft Extraction:
- Hair follicles are extracted individually (grafts) from the donor area. Follicular units containing one to four hairs are typically used.
- Recipient Site Preparation:
- Tiny incisions are made in the beard area where the grafts will be implanted. The placement and angle of the incisions are crucial for achieving a natural appearance.
- Graft Implantation:
- The extracted grafts are carefully implanted into the prepared incisions in the beard area.
- Post-Operative Care:
- After the procedure, patients are given instructions for post-operative care, which may include avoiding certain activities, medications, or skincare products.
- Healing and Results:
- The transplanted hair sheds within a few weeks, and new hair starts to grow from the transplanted follicles after a few months.
