Cómo se realiza un trasplante de barba?

  1. Consultation and Planning:
  • A consultation with a specialist is conducted to assess the patient’s facial features and determine the desired beard shape.
  • The doctor discusses expectations, examines the donor area, and plans the transplantation based on the individual’s facial structure.
  1. Donor Area Selection:
  • Hair follicles are usually extracted from the back of the scalp, as this area often has robust and permanent hair.
  1. Local Anesthesia:
  • The procedure is performed under local anesthesia to ensure the patient’s comfort.
  1. Graft Extraction:
  • Hair follicles are extracted individually (grafts) from the donor area. Follicular units containing one to four hairs are typically used.
  1. Recipient Site Preparation:
  • Tiny incisions are made in the beard area where the grafts will be implanted. The placement and angle of the incisions are crucial for achieving a natural appearance.
  1. Graft Implantation:
  • The extracted grafts are carefully implanted into the prepared incisions in the beard area.
  1. Post-Operative Care:
  • After the procedure, patients are given instructions for post-operative care, which may include avoiding certain activities, medications, or skincare products.
  1. Healing and Results:
  • The transplanted hair sheds within a few weeks, and new hair starts to grow from the transplanted follicles after a few months.
